the Public Health Agency of Canada and Ministry of Health.
Based on these guidelines, we develop and adjust our response to keep
our flight crew, clients and communities safe while continuing to serve our
clients with minimal disruption.

Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Operations & Training Corporation (RPASOTC) is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace by adopting high safety standards to prevent occupational illness and injury, and operating in a manner that protects the environment.

RPASOTC will manage its activities to meet or exceed the requirements of applicable legislation and best practice guidelines in health and safety, and will integrate health and safety practices into our daily business activities and decisions.

The underlying philosophy of RPASTOC’s health and safety program is that of a shared "internal responsibility" system, wherein health and safety hazards and risks can be best dealt with at the workplace through education, communication, consultation, and cooperation between all parties. RPASOTC will promote and develop health and safety awareness, leadership and accountability among all Employees. All Employees are responsible for participating in and maintaining our health and safety program, and for adhering to the safety policies of our Clients.

Management will provide leadership and support for all health and safety initiatives. All management activities will comply with company health and safety requirements as they relate to planning, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment and training of Pilots and Flight Reviewers/Trainers. Pilots, Flight Reviewers/Trainers will be proactive in identifying and evaluating workplace hazards, implementing and maintaining appropriate preventative control measures, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring Client staff and contractors are adequately trained (if needed), supplying personal protective equipment, ensuring all equipment is inspected and maintained and that all incidents are reported and investigated in a timely manner.

All RPASOTC Employees must follow safe work procedures, wear and use personal protective equipment when required, participate in health and safety training programs and inform the Client of any unsafe workplace conditions or incidents immediately. All RPASOTC Employees will undergo regular medical check-ups to ensure they are fit for work. RPASOTC has a strict internal EHS policy to manage incidents promptly with effective corrective actions.

RPASOTC has zero tolerance towards practices that are harmful to the environment and will ensure that any equipment, materials or waste are not left behind at Client sites.

RPASOTC will develop and implement policies and procedures such that contractors and their employees meet regulatory requirements and additional site-specific health and safety requirements of RPASOTC and our Clients.

Everyone has the right and the responsibility to refuse work if unsafe conditions exist. By fulfilling our responsibilities, everyone who works for RPASOTC, as well as our Clients, will share the benefits of a safe and healthy workplace, while minimizing impact on the environment.
